50 MPH Wind Gusts Forecast, Weekend Snow Update For Northern CT
The National Weather Service said wind gusts up to 50 mph are possible Thursday and it also provided an update on snow for Saturday.

HARTFORD/TOLLAND/WINDHAM COUNTY, CT — The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for northern Connecticut, which is in effect until 1 a.m. Friday.
Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. "Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and some power outages may result," the weather service said.
And in an update Thursday morning, the weather service said there is only a "slight chance" for snow after 2 a.m. Saturday and there is a chance of some light snow and rain during the day on Saturday but "little or no snow accumulation" is expected.

Here are the forecast details for northern Connecticut via the National Weather Service:
Today: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 28. Wind chill values as low as zero. Northwest wind 16 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 41 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 20. Northwest wind 13 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 37. Northwest wind 8 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
Friday Night: A slight chance of snow after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. Light northwest wind. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Saturday: A chance of rain and snow before 4pm, then a slight chance of rain between 4pm and 5pm, then a slight chance of rain and snow after 5pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33. Calm wind becoming northwest around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 20. Northwest wind around 6 mph.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 37. Northwest wind around 7 mph.
