50 MPH Wind Gusts, More Heavy Rain For Hartford/Tolland County

HARTFORD/TOLLAND/WINDHAM COUNTY — The National Weather Service says winds could gust up to 50 mph Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

For Hartford County, a wind advisory is in effect from 7 p.m. Wednesday to 7 a.m. Thursday.

"West winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected."

And in Tolland and Windham County, the advisory is in effect from 1 p.m. Wednesday to 7 a.m. Thursday. "Southwest winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected."

"Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result," the weather service said.
