6-Hour Timeline For Flooding Concerns Released In Hartford/Tolland County
And here are the latest updates on Hurricane Lee.
HARTFORD/TOLLAND COUNTY, CT — The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for northern Connecticut through late tonight.
"Slow moving showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening may produce excessive rainfall leading to accumulations of 1.5 to 3 or more inches in a short amount of time. As a result, urban, small stream, and poor drainage flooding will be possible. Heaviest rainfall is expected between 2pm and 8pm and may impact the evening commute," the weather service said.
And as for the potential track of Hurricane Lee, it's still very much uncertain.

"Lee has been fluctuating in strength and will continue to do so as it moves WNW through the day today," wrote WFSB 3 TV Meteorologist Jill Gilardi with Scot Haney. "For right now, Lee is no immediate threat to any landmass. Thereafter, by midweek, it eventually takes a turn to the north --- by the end of the week, it could be in the vicinity of Bermuda. Our longer range models continue to keep Lee offshore as it heads toward Nova Scotia by this weekend. It’s too soon to know what level of impacts, if any there will be, but high surf and dangerous rip currents are likely later in the week." (Read more at WFSB 3 TV).
