Aloisa, Brown, Chrissos, Thibodeau, Tubman: Recent Death Notices From Enfield

ENFIELD, CT — Here are some recent death notices from Enfield.

William Aloisa, 74, beloved husband for 51 years of Francine (Soitos) Aloisa, passed away May 12, 2025 after a long illness. He graduated from Enfield High School, attended Vaughn Barber School and went on to open the very successful Mane Haircutters, retiring in 2015. Bill enjoyed golf and was a member of the Suffield Country Club since 1991. He was an avid New England Patriots fan and season ticket holder for over 30 years, and loved fishing in the Connecticut Lakes region of New Hampshire.

Joseph Brown, beloved husband of Cathy (Kurek) Brown for 45 years, passed away May 13, 2025 on his 76th birthday. He graduated from Enfield High School in 1966, and went on to serve in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1971. Joe was a security officer for Aetna Life & Casualty and Windsor Property Management until his retirement in 2015. Joe was a member of the Thompsonville Moose Lodge 1525, American Legion Post 80 and Knights of Columbus Council 50.

Carol (Zeppieri) Chrissos, 85, beloved wife of George Chrissos, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Carol’s compassionate and selfless spirit guided her through a meaningful career in nursing. She was a proud graduate of the St. Francis School of Nursing and began her career at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. Her dedication to healthcare continued in Enfield, where she worked as a nurse in the office of Dr. Francis Figueroa, serving the community for many years.

Gerald Thibodeau, 80, beloved husband to the late Elaine (Dewsbury) Thibodeau, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, after a valiant battle. After graduating from Enfield High School, Jerry proudly served his country in the Navy, stationed in Norfolk, Virginia aboard the USS UTINA ATF-163 as a DC2 E-5. He later transferred to the Naval Reserve in Bainbridge, Maryland, concluding his service with an honorable discharge and the National Defense Service Medal. He then dedicated himself to his family, making a long career as a truck driver, before retiring and continuing his service work full time.

Thomas Tubman, 77, formerly of Cumberland, R.I. and Enfield, passed away unexpectedly on May 11, 2025. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Dorothy A. Tubman. A true renaissance man, Thomas possessed a brilliant problem-solving mind, an extraordinary intellect and a wide range of talents. He earned a degree in engineering from Roger Williams College and spent over five decades in the energy industry, earning 11 professional licenses. He was recognized with one of the industry's most prestigious lifetime achievement awards upon his retirement in 2023.
