The public is invited to the annual solemn ceremony commemorating those lives lost in the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on America.

ENFIELD, CT — The annual 9/11 memorial ceremony, in remembrance of those who died as a result of the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, and all those who have died serving their communities and our country, has been scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 11.
The solemn ceremony is hosted by the Enfield Fire Department, and will take place rain or shine at 5 p.m. in the memorial tribute garden in front of Enfield Fire Rescue Station 2 at 199 Weymouth Road.
Two steel beams, measuring 18 feet each, are permanently displayed as part of the memorial tribute garden. They had been part of the north face of the northern World Trade Center tower, and were awarded to Enfield in 2011.
