Blessing of the Animals on the Feast of St. Francis

In honor of the fest of St. Francis students from St. Bernard School participated in a blessing of the stuffed animals.

In honor of the fest of St. Francis celebrated on October 4th , students from grades 2 and 3 from St. Bernard School traveled to Little Angels Catholic Preschool to visit with younger students and participate in the blessing of stuffed animals led by Rev. John Melnick. After the blessing, students went in to Saint Bernard Church to listen to the story “St. Francis and the Wolf”, read by second grade teacher, Mrs. Patricia Sagon and assisted by 3 rd grade teacher, Ms. Elizabeth Tortora.
