Campus Accomplishments By College Students From Enfield

ENFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted as they are received in the coming weeks.

Champlain College, Burlington VT

• Two students from Enfield have been named to the Champlain College Dean's List for achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher in the fall 2024 semester. They are Ryan McCloud, majoring in game design, and Heidi Ranz, majoring in game programming.

Goodwin University, East Hartford CT

• Goodwin University's President's List for the fall 2024 session includes Erica Devita and Fatma Kuruca, both of Enfield, who scored a perfect 4.0 GPA.
• Six residents of Enfield achieved Dean's List status for the fall 2024 session. They are Farah Neamah, Rebecca Angelica, Lauren Wright, Ariana Silva, Anthony Stork and Katherine Dowding. Dean's List inclusion requires a student to earn a minimum 3.5 GPA, the equivalent of an A- average, during a given academic session. The student must also be enrolled in a minimum of six academic credits to qualify.

Salve Regina University, Newport RI

• Riley Esposito and Maggie McCue, both of Enfield, were named to the Dean's List during the fall 2024 academic semester at Salve Regina University. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 for full-time students completing at least 12 graded credits, or a semester grade point average of 3.8 for part-time students completing at least six credits.

University of Hartford, West Hartford CT

• Seventeen students from Enfield earned placement on the President's List or Dean's List for the fall 2024 semester. Making both lists were Jack Anderson, Sydney Ball, Katelyn Birdsey, Angelica Easley, Steve Isherwood, Tony Lorenzo, Gabby Nicknair, Justin Paoletta, Jake Reynolds, Michelle Schranz, Kyrah Spruill and Sophie Trosen. Dean's List honors went to Charisse Barbara, Alex Easley, Heather Kirkbride, Faith Light and Kiana Williams. To be placed on the President's List, students must maintain a GPA of at least a 3.75 and receive grades of C or better. Requirements for the Dean's List is a grade point average of at least 3.0 and no grade below C.

Western Connecticut State University, Danbury CT

• Harley Griffin, a freshman music education major from Enfield, made the Dean's List for the fall 2024 semester. Her primary instrument is the clarinet, and she was just featured in this year's New England Honor Band, which performed in Bandfest, marched in the Disneyland parade on Dec. 31, and marched in the Rose Bowl Parade on New Year's Day.
