Church In Hazardville Appeals For Return Of Missing Electronic Sign
The sign was taken out of its frame on the front lawn of the church Friday morning, and church officials are merely asking for its return.

ENFIELD, CT — Officials at the Hazardville United Methodist Church are appealing for the return of an electronic sign which vanished from the church grounds Friday.
According to administrative assistant Sue Braun, the neon light-up sign was taken from in front of the church at 330 Hazard Avenue sometime between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. that day.
The sign had just been installed in the fall, and was being used to promote various events at the church, including a music series with Paul Cappa entitled the No Cover Cafe, yoga classes, a grief support group, and service hours.

"We were just getting good use from it," Pastor Lisa McColgan told Patch. "The sign was helping us partner with the community."
The church does have cameras, but none were trained on the particular spot where the sign was located. Only the frame remains - for now.

"It would be amazing to have somebody return what they took," McColgan said.
