ENFIELD, CT — A multi-vehicle crash involving a tractor trailer truck and two other vehicles caused a major disruption to traffic on Interstate 91 late Friday morning.

According to ctroads.org, the crash was reported at 11:28 a.m. on the northbound side of the highway, between exits 48 and 49. The left and center lanes were closed, leaving just one lane open.

Many motorists reported on social media that roads such as Route 5 were getting backed up due to drivers exiting the highway to avoid the crash site.
