Day 4: Power Restoration Progress Being Made In Enfield

Less than 12 percent of Eversource Energy customers in Enfield remained without power early Saturday morning.

ENFIELD, CT — Power restoration efforts by Eversource Energy have increased dramatically in Enfield since late Thursday night, as more than half the residents who were without electricity at that time have regained service.

As of its 2 a.m. update Friday, a total of 2,286 customers in Enfield, or 11.71 percent, were still without power, down from 5,198 late Thursday. At its peak Wednesday, 8,680 customers were affected.

The Enfield transfer station will be open Saturday from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., to help with residents' storm cleanup efforts.
