Demolition Work Begins On Old TGI Fridays Site In Enfield
Vacant for nearly a year, the building in State Line Plaza is being gutted in advance of the opening of a new Buffalo Wild Wings location.

ENFIELD, CT — Demolition work has begun on the long-vacant TGI Fridays location at State Line Plaza, in advance of its conversion into a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant.
An employee in the Enfield Building Department confirmed Friday the chicken franchise had applied for a permit in July, "but it still going through plan review." Nonetheless, a plethora of dumpsters were being filled Friday morning by workers in Bobcats.
Remnants of an old red booth, symbolic of TGI Fridays' heyday, were seen on the ground outside the entrance to the 130 Elm Street building.

Fridays closed its Enfield site abruptly on Oct. 6, 2024. It had opened roughly two decades ago, in a reconstructed building which had formerly been home to Pizza Hut. Its fare was casual American cuisine and bar food, and Fridays locations were instantly recognizable by their red and white striped awnings.
Buffalo Wild Wings was founded in Ohio in 1982. The chain is best known for Buffalo-style chicken wings, as well as various sauces, tenders and legs. The current headquarters for the franchise, which numbers over 1,300 locations, is in Atlanta, Ga.
