Enfield 2024 Primary Elections: What You Need To Know
There are two Democratic races on the Aug. 13 primary ballot in Enfield.
ENFIELD, CT — The main election event is set for November, but there are a couple of preliminary bouts Enfield residents will weigh in on next month.
Winners of Connecticut's Aug. 13 primary races will advance to become their party's banner bearer in the general election.
In the 7th Senatorial district, Democratic Enfield Town Council member Cynthia Mangini, who won the party's endorsement, is vying for the nomination against Windsor Board of Education member Nathan Wolliston. Represented for the past three decades by Republican John Kissel, the district encompasses Enfield, Somers, Windsor Locks, Suffield, East Granby and parts of Windsor, Ellington and Granby.

With incumbent Tom Arnone opting not to seek another term as Enfield's state representative in the 58th District, a pair of Democrats have emerged seeking the nomination. Town councilor John Santanella was endorsed at a party convention, but will be challenged by former District 58 rep David Alexander, who collected enough petitioning signatures to earn a spot on the primary ballot.
Polls will be open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 13.

Primary early voting will be conducted at Enfield Town Hall from Monday, Aug. 5 through Sunday, Aug. 11. Early voting may be done from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6 and Thursday, Aug. 8.
