ENFIELD, CT — Not long ago, there were three Subway sandwich shops in Enfield. Not quite as many as there are Dunkin' Donuts sites (eight), but a significant number nonetheless. With the recent closure of the Hazardville store, however, there is just one remaining location in town.

A sign on the door at 319 Hazard Avenue reads, "Thank you for all your business over the years. This location is [permanently] closed."

The note directs hungry consumers to the last remaining Enfield franchise, in the Mountain Laurel Shoppes at 786 Enfield Street, or to the location on Mountain Road in neighboring Suffield.
