Enfield Election Results 2025: Democrats Dominate As They Take Over Town Council: UPDATE

Enfield residents cast their ballots for several key local races on Election Day. Here are the latest results.

ENFIELD, CT — The polls have now closed as Enfield residents cast their votes for several key municipal positions in town.

And according to the Connecticut Secretary of the State's Office, Enfield Democrats dominated the GOP in town, turning a 6-5 deficit into 8-3 control on the Enfield Town Council.

In all four district council races, Democrats won their seats:

• In District 1, Democrat Linda Allegro defeated Republican Ken Nelson Jr., 1,526-1,118. Nelson was ousted from the board and as the town's mayor.

• In District 2, Democrat John P. Santantella defeated Republican Robert Gillespie, 952-508.

• In District 3, Democrat Cynthia Mangin defeated Republican Carl Sferrazza, 1,470-1,130.

• In District 4, Democrat Maya Nicole Matthews defeated Republican Bob Hendrickson, 1,333-983.

As for the councilors at large, all four Democrats running were elected to the town's top elected board: Gina Cekala, 5,182; Bob Cressotti, 5,311; Zach Zannoni, 5,114; and Aaron Thomas, 4,961.

Three Republicans were elected to the Enfield Town Council as well: Marie Pyznar, 3,668; Carol Hall, 3,692; and Lori Unghire, 3,645.

The election means the Democrats now have an 8-3 hold on the Enfield Town Council. Before, the Republicans had a 5-4 majority on the council.

Democrat: Maya Nicole Matthews

Councilors at Large (Vote for up to four)

Democrats: Zach Zannoni, Gina Cekula, Bob Cressotti, and Aaron Thomas.

Republicans: Carol Hall, Jeff Rousseau, Marie Pyznar, and Lori Unghire

Board of Education (Vote for up to five)

Democrats: Danielle Girard, Amanda Pickett, Rosalee Brocuglio, Roberta 'Bobbie' Kiner, and Kelsey McGuire-Bruce.

Republicans: Dean Gousse, Janet Cushman, Philip Kober, Theresa M. Mayer, and Rob Anderson.

Constables (Vote up to four)

Democrats: Alex Sferrazza, Bekah Halpin, Rebecca Green, and Marshall Elemen

Republicans Walter J. Kruzel, Ken Kaufman, John Unghire, and Mary Ann Turner
