Enfield High School Dismisses Early Wednesday After Lockdown [UPDATE]

ENFIELD, CT — Enfield High School was placed into lockdown mode Wednesday morning, according to a text message alert received by parents.

The message, sent around 10:30 a.m., reads, "We are working closely with local authorities to resolve the situation as quickly and safely as possible. We will provide updates as soon as more information is available."

A followup message from Superintendent of Schools Steven Moccio, sent just before noon, reads:
