Enfield Man Gets Prison Term For Producing And Possessing Child Porn

A court-authorized search of his Google accounts revealed about 1,500 child sex abuse images and videos, including prepubescent children.

ENFIELD, CT —An Enfield man was sentenced Tuesday to 25 years of imprisonment, followed by 10 years of supervised release, for producing and possessing child sex abuse images and videos.

Katrell Johnson, 35, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Stefan R. Underhill in Bridgeport. He has been detained since his arrest on July 13, 2023, according to Marc H. Silverman, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut.

According to court documents and statements made in court, in April and May 2023, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received CyberTipline reports from Google and WhatsApp that accounts, which were subsequently connected to Johnson, had been used to upload images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children. A court-authorized search of two of Johnson’s Google accounts revealed about 1,500 child sex abuse images and videos, including images and videos of prepubescent children, and images that Johnson created of two minor victims he had abused, Silverman said.
