Enfield Mom & 'Band Mom' Is 'Such A Role Model To Everyone Around Her'

ENFIELD, CT— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

This submission comes from Chelsea Swan who nominated Ashley Schell of Enfield.

What makes your Mom extra special?

Ashley is a young mom to one-year-old Logan and mom to her and her husband's dog and two cats. But Ashley is also “band mom” to the Enfield High School Marching Band. She works tirelessly to give the music students of Enfield the best experience she can at football games, at parades, in rehearsals, and in performances. She is such a role model to everyone around her!

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

Since becoming a mother herself, she’s been so dedicated to her baby Logan! She brings him everywhere she can and even takes time to go see him for a couple minutes between her schedule just so she can say “hi” when he’s with Papa and Gigi! She is there for her students and there for her family always!
