ENFIELD, CT— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

What makes your Mom extra special?
My mom retired as an RN a few years ago but she missed her patient care so much that she decided to work part-time at age 75 to help those in need. Her dedication, strength, compassion, commitment and caring are inspiring. Nurses endure long hours, sore feet and complaints while calming scared patients and worried loved ones. This is my mom! A superhero and a hard worker! Happy Nurse's Week and Happy Mother's Day!
