Enfield Police Officer Promoted To Detective Bureau

Patrick Tynan has served many roles over the past five years with the Enfield Police Department.

ENFIELD, CT — A five-year veteran of the Enfield Police Department was promoted to the detective bureau in a brief ceremony last week at the public safety complex.

Patrick Tynan began working in Enfield on Sept. 3, 2019. He has served as the department photographer, a field training officer and a Draeger instructor.

A 2013 graduate of Somers High School, Tynan went on to Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in justice and law in 2017. He also played Div. III lacrosse for the Wolves, captaining the team in both his junior and senior years.

In 2018, he graduated from the Vermont Police Academy and began his professional career as an officer with the Essex Police Department before coming to Enfield.

The avid Cincinnati Bengals fan spends his free time skiing in Vermont and New Hampshire, and recently completed his first Hartford Half Marathon with his fiancee.
