Enfield Recreation Department Announces Spring Programs
Offerings include classes in cake decorating, field hockey and yoga.

SKYHAWKS MULTI-SPORT TOTS

Youth ages 2-5 years old can take part in this multi-sport program that covers baseball, basketball and soccer. This program uses age-appropriate games and activities to explore balance, hand-eye coordination, fitness and more. This program will be held Wednesdays, May 10 – June 7, in the Enfield Annex gym. Ages 2-3 will be held 5:00-5:45 PM and Ages 4-5 will be held 6:00-6:45 PM. Registration will be through Skyhawks at www.skyhawks.com. Fee is $89.00 residents / $99.00 non-residents. Registration begins Friday, February 17th for Enfield residents. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.
ADULT AND ME EDIBLE FLOWERPOT WORKSHOP

Spend some time with your little one, this Spring Break, while constructing yummy flower pot creations. Kids ages 3 - 6 will be encouraged to let their imagination run wild as they work with cupcakes, icing, gummy worms and more to create edible flowerpot treats! Each child will create four edible flowerpots, which they will be able to bring home at the end of the class. Held on Monday, April 10th, 9:00 – 10:00 AM at the Enfield Annex. The fee is $25.00 residents / $31.25 non-residents. Registration for residents begins February 17 at 8:30 AM. Non-resident registration begins February 24 at 8:30 AM. YOUTH CAKE DECORATING CLASS
Participants ages 7 – 12 years old, will learn how to decorate cakes like a pro! In this class, students will learn how to make their own Oreo “Cookies and Spilled Milk” cake topper using melted chocolate to decorate a delicious Cookies and Cream cake. Staff from Mimi’s Cake Decorating School will be present to demonstrate the latest techniques in cake decorating and design. Each participant will have a festive, 8-inch decorated cake, to take home at the end of the class! The class will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023, 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM at the Enfield Annex. The fee is $45.00 residents / $56.25 non-residents. Registration for residents begins February 17 at 8:30 AM. Non-resident registration begins February 24 at 8:30 AM. PRESCHOOL AND YOUTH MARTIAL ARTS CLINICS
Enfield Recreation, in conjunction with Integrity Martial Arts of Enfield, is offering FREE, four-day clinics! Participants will explore the world of martial arts and be introduced to character development topics. Classes will be held April 1 – May 31 at various times. The clinics are for youth ages 4-5 and ages 6-10. Registration can be done at integritymartialarts.com beginning on Friday, March 31, 2023. Once there you can select the days and times that you want. BABYSITTER SAFETY COURSE
Youth ages 11 to 16 years old can take part in our spring Babysitter Safety Course. This comprehensive course is intended to teach age-appropriate skills necessary to care for children of all ages. Topics including diapering, personal safety, first aid and adult and child CPR will be covered. This course will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the Enfield Annex. ADULT YOGA
Do you want to release stress and live a healthier lifestyle this spring? If so, this is the perfect class for you! Yoga will bring balance, breath awareness, stamina and flexibility to the body and mind. Participants will be able to work at their own level, modifying poses as needed. Classes will be held on Tuesdays, March 21 – May 16 (no 4/11), 6:15 – 7:30 PM at the Parkman Elementary School. The fee is $40.00 residents / $50.00 non-residents. A Field Hockey clinic is being offered for youth in grades 3 – 5 & 6 – 8 at the Enfield Annex. Participants will be introduced to and taught the fundamentals of field hockey.
