How do I get the Newsletter?
The Senior Center newsletter “The Center Connection” is published once a month. It is posted on our website: www.enfield-ct.gov/seniors; it is available in hard copy at the Senior Center; it is emailed out as soon as it is available. Trip Registration:
Registrations are now being accepted for the Thursday, August 18 trip to the Newport Playhouse to see the suspense-comedy Murder at the Howard Johnson’s. This unique dinner theatre is a favorite for locals and visitors since 1983. A traditional buffet dinner includes 16 hot entrees, salads, veggies, dessert, and beverages. After dining, take your reserved seats in the theater. Cost: $137.00 per person made payable to Friendship Tours. For more information contact the Senior Center at 860-763-7425.

Computer Classes:
Smart Phones – Health Apps, Wednesday, July 6, 1:30-3:30pm. Resident fee $3.00, non-resident fee $4.00. Limit: 8 participants.

Fun Bingo:
Wednesday, July 6 from 10:45-11:45am. Drop-in and play a few games for small cash prizes. Cost is 50 cents per card. Please bring exact change.

Medicare Educational Workshop:
Wednesday, July 6 at 1:30pm. Stateline Senior Services will present the pros and cons of original Medicare and Medicare Supplement coverage vs. Medicare Advantage plans. They will also share information on new supplemental policies that can help with copays, prescription costs, home care, and the guidelines to qualify for prescription and medical assistance. Join us for this free educational workshop.

Paint Party:
Join us for a special 5-hour Paint Party class, Thursday, July 7, 9:30am – 3:00 pm. Resident fee: $25.00, non-resident fee $30.00. A half hour lunch break is provided where you may brown bag or sign up for the community café lunch.

UFO’s – Unfinished Objects:
The UFO’s – Unfinished Objects, program is back this summer on Thursdays, July 14 - 28, 9:30 – 11:30 am. Are you finding yourself drowning in UFOs: Un-Finished Objects? Work weekly crafting time into your schedule to see craft projects through to completion. Enjoy lots of air-conditioned space and the company of others to complete your projects. This program is free.

Foot Care Clinic:
Friday, July 8 from 8:30am-3:00pm. To schedule an appointment, please call 860-205-2993. Registered nurses from Pedi-Care will trim nails and check for foot health problems.

Steps to Transition into Assisted Living or Memory Care:
We understand that transitioning out of an environment that you are accustomed to is never easy. Let us walk you through the steps from starting the process to transitioning into your new home.
