Enfield Senior Minor Repair Program Returns
The program focuses on performing minor repairs, at no cost, in homes of people over the age of 60.

The Enfield Department of Social Services on behalf of the Commission on Aging is pleased to announce the opening of the Enfield Senior Minor Repair Program’s 2023 season. The program focuses on performing minor repairs, at no cost, in homes of Senior’s age 60 and over.

Beginning March 13th Enfield residents are eligible to schedule an appointment for service by calling 860-253-6396. Services will begin Tuesday April 4th and continue weekly on Tuesdays through October 31, 2023. Appointments will be made on a first-come, first-serve basis until slots are filled.
Types of service include installation of window air conditioning units (no more than 8000 BTU), gutter cleaning, grab bars and handrails installation, hanging of curtains/blinds, replacement of thermostats and installation of smoke detectors.

Some of the services NOT provided include repairs that require a permit or license, painting, tree/bush trimming, furniture moving, or roof repairs. For a more comprehensive list please visit the Enfield Social Services website https://www.enfield-ct.gov/429/Social-Services
The health and safety of the residents and the volunteers remains the program’s first concern. If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness prior to the scheduled repair, please contact Social Services in order to reschedule.
