Enfield's Big Veterans Day Parade: Traffic Impacts Announced
The annual Enfield Veterans Day Parade is one of the area's biggest such events.

ENFIELD, CT — One of the area's biggest Veterans Day parades is on Sunday, Nov. 9, in Enfield, with local police releasing information on traffic associated with the event.
The annual Veterans’ Day Parade, slated for 1 p.m., will honor our veterans, with the route traveling from Enfield Street School to Enfield Town Hall.

Police said motorists should be aware of the following road closures:
• Route 5 (Post Office Rd to South Rd): Closed starting at noon.

• Route 5 (Post Office Rd to Alden Ave): Closed starting at 12:45 p.m. and will remain closed until the parade concludes.
As far as traffic management, police officers will be stationed along the route to assist with traffic control and direct vehicles around closures.
Those not attending the parade should plan alternate routes and avoid the area until the event concludes, police said.
For residents west of Route 5 along the parade route, access will be available via Alden Avenue or eastbound Route 190, according to police.
"Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we celebrate and honor our veterans. Enjoy the parade if you’re attending, and drive safely," wrote the EPD.
