Austin Peay State University, Clarksville TN

  • Astrid Mayyas of Enfield was named to the Dean's List for academic achievement during the fall 2024 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or greater.

Bates College, Lewiston ME

  • Andrew Goddard of Enfield was named to the dean's list at Bates College for the fall semester ending in December 2024. This is a distinction earned by students whose grade point average is 3.92 or higher.

Curry College, Milton MA

  • Curry College congratulates Hannah Goolsby of Enfield, who was named to the fall 2024 Dean's List.

  • More than 100 first-generation students from Eastern Connecticut State University were inducted into the Tri Alpha National Honor Society on Nov. 8, recognizing their academic achievements despite the challenges of being the first in their families to attend college. Among those inducted was Megan Hayes, a junior from Enfield studying psychology and communication. Tri Alpha offers lifetime membership and recognizes first-generation students who display significant academic achievement. Students with a GPA of 3.2 or higher and whose biological parents have not earned a four-year college degree in the U.S. or Canada were eligible for induction into Tri Alpha, a national honor society for first-generation college students.

Lasell University, Newton MA

  • Kaylene Ellis and Emma Whaley, both of Enfield, were named to Lasell University's fall 2024 Dean's List. To be named to the Dean's List, Lasell students must complete at least 12 credits as a full-time student and achieve a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Sacred Heart University, Fairfield CT

  • Emily Vandal of Enfield, a junior at Sacred Heart University double majoring in music with concentration in performance and theatre arts with concentration in musical theatre, was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2024 semester with a 4.0 GPA.

University of Connecticut, Storrs CT

  • Two dozen students from Enfield were named to the Dean’s List at the University of Connecticut for the fall 2024 semester. They are Madelyn Bouchard, Katherine Devito, Peri Duncan, Ayssar Farah, Samantha Fuller, Amika Gilkes, Jamie Gugliotti, Olivia Iv, Witold Klos, Alanna Kwasnicki Sinopoli, Gavin Messier, Nathaniel Messier, Jimmy Padilla, Audi Putri, Mukrim Rahman, Reilley Reim, Ashley Rinaldi, Adrianna Rossignol, Thaira Shah, Ashton Stolstrom, Tighe Thebodeau, Madison Veilleux, Safayah Youssef and Zachary Zannoni.

Vanderbilt University, Nashville TN

  • Laney Vandal of Enfield, a senior at Vanderbilt University majoring in medicine, health and society, was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2024 semester with a 3.9 GPA.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

  • Eighteen students from Enfield have been named to the President's List for the fall 2024 semester. They are Aiden Howell, Ava Deprey, Brian Sobanski, Cassidy Mason, Cody McGinnis, David Kula, Emily Sarno, Ethan Boucher, Isabella Maniscalchi, Kaitlyn Parisan, Karalyn Edwards, Kayla Surprenant, Kimberly Baumann, Luke Michaels, Olivia Grettler, Robert Guerrette, Savannah Sanders and Savannah Drouin. Students are named to the President's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.80 or higher.
  • Thirteen Enfield residents were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2024 semester:
    Anthony Izzo, Canon Marshall, David Santy, Emma Birmingham, Jackson Tamayo, Jacqueline Casalone, Kaitlyn St James, Lana Wilkie, Matthew Spruill, Michaela Birmingham, Nolan Gleason, Omar Atwah Atwah and Sara McCarthy. Students are named to the Dean's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

  • Reid Vacharakupt of Enfield, a member of the class of 2026 majoring in Biomedical Engineering at WPI, was a member of a student team that recently completed a professional-level research-driven project titled Increasing Blood Donation Participation. Known as the Interactive Qualifying Project (IQP), this project is a core part of the innovative undergraduate experience at WPI. Centered around project-based learning, this hands-on approach offers students opportunities to help develop thoughtful solutions to open-ended problems. These real-world problems affect the quality of life for people in the communities where students work, giving students a chance to make a difference in the world before they graduate.
