ENFIELD, CT — Here are some recent death notices from Enfield.

Susan (Berry) Hartford, 67, passed away on March 5, 2025. She was raised in Enfield before moving to Windsor Locks 38 years ago. She worked for Hi-G for several years before enjoying a long career with the United States Postal Service from 1986 to 2023. Susan married James and they enjoyed 38 years of marriage before his passing in 2023. She had a deep love for music, especially the Doobie Brothers and Elton John, and enjoyed singing and performing in school plays.

Diana Lemieux, 81, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025. She spent her days at Allied Community Services, enjoying coffee and conversation with staff and friends. Before her retirement, she took great pride in her many jobs at Allied. A dedicated athlete, Diana participated in Special Olympics for years, earning countless medals that she proudly displayed in her room.

Eugene McDonald, 90, entered peacefully into Eternal Life with loved ones at his side on Feb. 20, 2025. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served his country in the Korean War in 1952. He retired from the state of Connecticut Department of Correction, where he worked for many years as a corrections officer. Eugene was an avid golfer and a die-hard New York Giants fan. He and his wife Martha were longtime parishioners of St. Martha’s Church in Enfield.

Joseph Rinaldi, 80, of Longmeadow, Mass., beloved husband of 51 years of the late Rosemary Rinaldi,passed away peacefully on March 8 at his home. He founded and operated Rinaldi’s Italian Specialties, an Italian restaurant that served as a staple in the community for 45 years. His commitment to hard work and caring for others leaves a legacy not only for his family, but also throughout the community.
