"Storms will be possible in the afternoon and early evening hours as a cold front approaches from the west (they could be strong to severe). Lightning, heavy rain, damaging wind gusts, and hail will be the top threats, though an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out. The main round is expected from west to east between 4pm-10pm," WFSB 3 TV meteorologists said.

The sun will finally return on Friday, and it looks to stick around for a while, but it will be extremely hot on Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures into the upper 90s for daytime highs.
