Hunter Falls To His Death In Enfield: Police
The incident happened Tuesday evening, with responders using GPS technology to find the victim in the woods.
ENFIELD, CT — Enfield police said a male hunter fell to his death Tuesday evening after apparently falling from a tree.
According to the Enfield Police Department, at about 7 p.m. Tuesday, officers, along with Enfield EMS and the Enfield Fire Department, were called to 54 Weymouth Road for a report of a hunter who fell to the ground nearby.
Utilizing GPS technology via Rapid SOS, responders located the hunter through his cell phone about 300 yards in the woods with "suspected serious injuries."

Police said the victim, who was not identified, became unresponsive as responders provided first aid, and CPR ensued.
The EFD was able to transport the man out of the woods utilizing the department's all-terrain UTV vehicle.

He was then transported to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass., where he was pronounced dead.
The incident is still under investigation by the EPD.
