Kelsey McGuire-Bruce Has My Vote

It is in Enfield's best interest to vote Row A come November.

Letter to the Editor

As a lifelong resident of Enfield and a parent with two children in the Enfield Public Schools, I believe there is a great deal at stake in this year’s election. That’s why I will be casting my vote for Kelsey McGuire-Bruce for Board of Education.

Kelsey brings a perspective that few others can match. As a former EPS teacher, a lifelong member of our community, and a mother of two children in the district, she understands firsthand the challenges and opportunities within our schools. She knows what it takes to support our students so they can excel, and she understands how to advocate for our teachers, administrators, and staff so they can do their jobs effectively.

This is an uncertain time for education—locally, statewide, and nationally. We need leaders who will fight for our children, demand the resources our schools deserve, and put students ahead of politics. Kelsey has lived the realities of our schools both as an educator and as a parent, and that experience makes her uniquely qualified to represent us. She is not just invested in our schools—she is invested in the future of Enfield itself.

For the past two years, the Republican majority in our town has failed our students, failed our teachers, and failed our community. Enfield deserves better. We deserve leadership that listens, cares, and works tirelessly to put our children first. I want a representative who doesn't just follow party lines, but makes decisions based on the needs of our community members. We need representatives who understand that we are a diverse community and that our students needs when it comes to learning and support are not all one and the same. I want someone who is going to fight for the education and support of each unique child no matter what their learning needs are.

That is why I will be voting for Kelsey McGuire-Bruce—and for all of the Democrats on Row A—this November. I encourage all of our community members who see the need for change in our schools and in our town to vote Row A.
