ENFIELD, CT — State police are investigating a shooting incident which took place early Christmas morning on Interstate 91 in Enfield.

Around 4:04 a.m., troopers responded to the area of Exit 46 northbound upon a report of a highway shooting. Non-life threatening injuries were reported, state police said.

The highway was closed for over four hours as the Central District Major Crime squad investigated the incident, and reopened just after 830 a.m., police said.
