One Injured In 2-Vehicle Collision At Busy Intersection In Enfield

ENFIELD, CT — A busy intersection in the southeast corner of town was briefly shut down Thursday night following a two-vehicle collision, according to police.

At 7:26 p.m., a vehicle traveling northbound on Broad Brook Road, just north of the Abbe Road intersection at the East Windsor town line, struck a pickup truck. One vehicle caught fire, and both sustained heavy damage, Lt. Nick King said.

One person was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries, King said.

The area was closed to traffic briefly while police investigated, but has since re-opened.
