Audiences may already be familiar with the story of The Bridges of Madison County based on the best-selling novel by Robert James Waller, which also inspired the film starring Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood. The story poses the immortal question of “What if…?” through the lens of Francesca Johnson, an Italian immigrant, living on the plains of Iowa after marrying an American soldier to escape her home country during World War II. While her husband and children are away on a four-day trip to the 1965 State Fair, Robert Kincaid, a photographer for National Geographic, arrives at her door asking for directions, and those four days take an unexpected and life-altering turn. With music and lyrics by Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown and a book by Pulitzer Prize winner Marsha Norman, The Bridges of Madison County is sure to move audiences with its sweeping score and beautiful love story.

Join Opera House Players for an evening of drama and romance, presented by a stellar cast lead by Lindsay Ryan and Tim Reilly as Francesca and Robert. There will be no denying the chemistry between these talented performers, as they are married in real life, having met several years ago while working on another OHP production!
