Plenty Of Summer Activities Planned By Enfield Recreation Department

The department has a wide variety of programs this summer that range from classes for preschool, youth, teens and adults, including special events, camps, and much more. SUMMER FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT SERIES

Enfield Recreation will be hosting a special summer entertainment series for families this July at the JFK Middle School Auditorium. Upcoming performances include Magic By George and a laser light show by Prismatic Magic! Shows will be on Wednesdays, July 17 and 24, 2024 at 6:30 PM at JFK Middle School Auditorium, 155 Raffia Road, Enfield. All shows are free, and seating is limited and available on a first come, first serve basis. Doors open at 6:15 PM. All ages are welcome, Enfield residents only. OPEN SWIM AT THE ENFIELD ANNEX POOL

PROGRESSIVE SWIM LESSONS

Enfield Recreation offers a variety of progressive swimming lessons for youth ages 5 – 15 years old. Swim lessons will be held in the mornings at the Enfield Annex indoor pool. HOME ALONE SAFETY COURSE

Just in time for the Back-to-School season! Home Alone Safety for youth entering grades 5-8 in the fall, is a unique class for children who may stay home alone (or with an older sibling). This interactive course will cover the major and minor safety concerns parents have when their children are by themselves, while helping kids feel more comfortable about being home alone. This course will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM at the Enfield Annex. The fee is $32.00 residents / $40.00 non-residents. Registration is open now. SKYHAWKS TRACK & FIELD CAMP

Skyhawks Track & Field camp was developed to introduce young athletes ages 7 – 12 years old to a sport rich in tradition and history. This program combines technical development and fundamental techniques, with safety and a major focus on fun! Using special equipment, our exercises and drills will prepare athletes for a future in cross-country or track and field, while inspiring a love for running. The fundamentals of body positioning, stride, proper stretching, and cool-down techniques are all covered in this unique program. The camp will be held July 15 – 19, 2024, from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Enfield Annex Track. The fee is $140.00 for residents / $150.00 for non-residents. SKYHAWKS FLAG FOOTBALL CAMP

Experience the excitement of football with Skyhawks Flag Football Fueled by USA Football. Using a curriculum developed by the experts from USA Football, coaches will teach skills like passing, receiving, kicking and flag pulling. Participants ages 5 – 7 will gain confidence and learn important life lessons in a fun, positive environment. The camp will be held July 22 – 26, 2024, from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Hazardville Memorial School Gym. The fee is $140.00 for residents / $150.00 for non-residents.
