ENFIELD, CT - Considerable police activity, including the deployment of a SWAT team, caused some road closures off Raffia Road Monday afternoon, but the incident has been resolved.

Local authorities said the incident, reported shortly after noon, had to do with reports of a suicidal individual within a residence on Clear Street.

Police Chief Alaric Fox said "out of a preponderance of caution" police called in regional SWAT team members because the individual did not respond to Enfield officers' overtures.

He said, eventually, the person was subdued and was taken to an area hospital for evaluation.

Fox said weapons were found inside the home.
