ENFIELD, CT — A segment of Washington Road has been closed since early afternoon Tuesday between Grove and Gary roads due to damaged utilities resulting from a motor vehicle crash.

Due to the hazard, the roadway will need to remain closed until Eversource can complete repairs. It is not expected to reopen until 9:30 p.m. or later, police said.

The police department’s Facebook page will be updated to indicate when the road is open.
