Thanksgiving Weekend In Enfield: What You Need To Know
The town has announced its openings/closings for the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend, which starts Thursday, Nov. 27.
ENFIELD, CT — Local officials have announced multiple Thanksgiving weekend impacts regarding town and school operations.
As a result of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, Enfield Town Hall and other town offices are closed on Thursday, Nov. 2 (Thanksgiving) as well as on Friday, Nov. 28.
In addition, both Enfield Public Libraries (Central and Pearl Street) will be closed for the day on Thursday, Nov. 27.

The libraries will also close early on Wednesday, Nov. 26, at 5 p.m.
Trash /recycling collection

Due to the upcoming holiday observance, on Thursday, Nov. 27 (Thanksgiving), there is no trash or recycling pickup that day.
Pickup for Monday through Wednesday is on schedule; however, Thursday pickup will have a one-day delay.
There will be no yard waste collection on Friday, Nov. 28. The last yard waste pickup for the season will be on Friday, Dec. 5.
The Town Farm Road Transfer Station will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 27, and will reopen on Friday, Nov. 28, at 8 a.m.

School Closings
Enfield Public Schools will have an early dismissal on Wednesday, Nov. 26, with school closed on Thursday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Nov. 28.
Regular classes resume on Monday, Dec. 1.
