Visions For Vacancies: Enfield

We want your opinion about the type of business you'd like to see in this commercial space in Enfield.

ENFIELD, CT — It's time for our latest Visions For Vacancies column, in which we highlight a vacant commercial property and ask readers to tell us what they think would be the best use for it.

If you had your way, what would you like to see there? What would be the best use for the community?

Remember, some of the spaces available are limited in size. For example, it's not possible to fit a Trader Joe's into a 350 square-foot office unit. You laugh, but we get those types of suggestions all the time. The worst had to be a 250 square-foot office that someone decided should be a Christmas Tree Shop. Um, the spot was barely big enough to fit a Christmas tree in it, never mind an entire shop!

Today we are featuring retail space in an aging strip plaza at 134 South Road. There are actually four or five vacancies on the property, as the only two active tenants are Riverside Reptiles and the Great Wall Chinese restaurant.
