Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Hartford/Tolland County
A weather advisory has just been issued for northern Connecticut. Here's what you need to know.
HARTFORD/TOLLAND/WINDHAM COUNTY — The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from 5 a.m. until noon Wednesday for northern Connecticut.
"Light freezing rain and freezing drizzle expected," the weather service said. "Total ice accumulations of a light glaze."
The weather service said there may be "Very slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute."

"...Temperatures will be cold enough for areas of light freezing rain and freezing drizzle Wednesday morning," the weather service said. "While any icing that occurs will be very light, just a small amount can result in hazardous travel. This may impact part of the Wednesday morning commute. Temperatures should rise above freezing by Wednesday afternoon changing all precipitation to plain rain."

Wednesday: A chance of freezing rain before 10am, then rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 46. South wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Wednesday Night: A chance of rain, mainly before 7pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 32. Southwest wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
