After 33 years as the director of Chester Park and Recreation, Liz Netsch has announced that it is time for her to retire and say goodbye. Her last day will reportedly be on May 12.   3. Chester residents be warned that the week of May 8, Connecticut Water will begin installing a new water main on Kings Highway to replace the over 50-year-old pipe that is currently in place. According to Zip06.com, "About four-tenths of a mile (2,200 feet) of water main will be installed at a cost of approximately $1,400,000 in a project that is schedule to continue through August. Three fire hydrants will also be replaced as part of the project. The main and fire hydrants will provide additional fire protection for public safety and improved water quantity and quality to area residents. Work hours for the project will be from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Monday through Friday. The project is expected to be completed by Labor Day." (Zip06.com)
