All Aboard! Essex Steam Train's North Pole Express Ready To Depart
Tickets are on sale for the popular holiday-themed train excursions.
ESSEX, CT — The Essex Steam Train is in full swing for the holiday season. The North Pole Express runs numerous times each week until Dec. 23.
"Board our locomotive-powered sleigh for a magical nighttime journey to the North Pole," the website reads. "Celebrate the spirit of the season with Santa and Mrs. Claus, festive sing-a-longs, hot chocolate and sugar cookies.
"Each child will receive a small gift from Santa. Children are invited to wear their favorite pajamas! Make sure those PJs are warm and cozy…it’s cold up at the North Pole!"

The round trip takes about 90 minutes.

The Essex Steam Train also runs the Santa Special Daytime Excursion on Dec. 13. The popular event has already sold out, according to the website.
