Here are the top three stories today in Essex-Chester-Deep River:
- It's time for the Connecticut Spring Boat Show which will take place at Safe Harbor Essex Island from today through April 30. Four bands are booked for the weekend, along with three fishing seminars: Fishing The River, Fishing The Sound and Fishing Offshore planned for Saturday. This is a rain-or-shine event. Children 13 and under are free when accompanied by a paid adult. Be sure to get a children’s ticket for them when you are purchasing online. Each ticket/bracelet provides entrance for all three days. - Cappella Cantorum Masterworks Chorus Spring Concert will be held Sunday, April 30 at 3 p.m. at John Winthrop Middle School in Deep River. Selected pieces will include: Zadok The Priest-Handel, Alto Rhapsody- Brahms, How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place-Brahms and Music Makers-Elgar. Tickets are $35 both online and at the door.
