- Harnessing the power of the sun, the construction of a solar array is coming in Deep River. It is slated to be housed between the Town Garage and the Transfer Station, on town property. Reportedly, there will be 1,344 panels that make up the 725KW system and if all goes as planned, the project is expected to be completed sometime in 2023. (Zip06.com)

- Yale-New Haven Health System and Hartford HealthCare have teamed up to found the Connecticut Proton Therapy Center, a 25,000-square-foot facility set to open at 932 Northrop Road, Wallingford, in 2025. The cutting-edge center will use an advanced form of radiation to treat cancer patients. Proton therapy can treat tumors in the brain and central nervous system, eye, gastrointestinal tract, head and neck, liver, lung, prostate, spine and breast.(Patch)
