• 6 residents displaced by fire in Ivoryton section of Essex, officials say (middletownpress.com) — Six Essex residents were forced from their homes Sunday after an electrical fire at an apartment building on Pond Meadow Road in Ivoryton, according to local fire officials. Crews quickly cut power and confirmed no active flames in the apartments, while the American Red Cross is now helping two affected families with emergency needs and longer-term recovery planning.
