- It's August, you know what that means! The Chester Fair is just around the corner! This year the annual fair will take place the weekend of August 26 through 28 at the Chester Fairgrounds. - Town of Essex: "Teen Wellness Program Sponsored by TTYS This program will have youths learning how to engage in teamwork, respect, and most of all, fun! We will meet at the Tri Town Youth Services office at our first meeting to establish norms and boundaries using fun activities. We can also visit Deep River Ice or The Nest, too! Our second meeting will be at Bushy Hill Nature Center for hiking, farm animal visits, and outdoor activities. The final meeting will be at Cockaponset State Forest for a mindfulness hike." - Town of Essex – Government: "CFLs: How to dispose of them? Fluorescent bulbs come in various shapes and sizes. Some are the traditional, 2-, 4-, or 8-foot-long "tube" type bulb. Others include the newer "compact" fluorescent lights (CFLs) that screw in like an incandescent bulb. All of them contain varying amounts of the toxic metal mercury and should not be disposed of in the regular trash.
