Gallery One CT Presents “Visual Journeys” Exhibition
On View at the Valentine H. Zahn Community Gallery from September 5 – October 27, 2023
The “Visual Journeys” exhibit features work by Gallery One artists who use imagination to weave tales of exploration, transformation, and self-discovery. Connecticut-based Gallery One represents a diverse group of established artists whose works reflect different artistic traditions. Exhibiting artists include: Rosemary Cotnoir (Westbrook), Michael Fanelli (Clinton), Victor Filepp (New London), Karen Israel (West Hartford), T. Willie Raney (Ivoryton), Diana Rogers (Clinton), Rick Silberberg (Ivoryton), and Jill Vaughn (Ivoryton).
For artist Rick Silberberg, art making is always a personal journey. “Creating and viewing art leads to new discoveries, inspiration, and change,” Silberberg said.
“The show celebrates the power of making and viewing art to transcend boundaries, both physical and emotional,” said photographer Michael Fanelli.

“Each work in the exhibit tells a story of the artist’s journey through the creative process. Our goal for the show is to share the power of visual art to help promote healing and well-being,” said artist Jill Vaughn.
The exhibit is on view from September 5 through October 27 in the Valentine H. Zahn Community Gallery at the Middlesex Health Shoreline Medical Center. The opening reception is on Wednesday, September 6, from 5pm to 6:30pm. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday during regular medical center hours.
