- Deep River Fire Department: "With multiple towns around Deep River having brush fires recently, please remember the DEEP has issued a Red Flag warning." (Deep River Fire Department via Facebook)
- Essex Fire Engine Co. #1: "National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week (NPSTW) is held annually during the second week of April to honor public safety telecommunicators for their commitment, service, and sacrifice." (Essex Fire Engine Co. #1 via Facebook)
- Town of Essex – Government: "5 Recycling Tips To Welcome the Spring Season: Tip No. 2. Use your supplies efficiently. Most of us are guilty of this – wasting things. If you are using one whole roll of paper towels to scrub the bathroom, then well, that doesn’t scream eco-friendly manners on your part. You can either use that roll prudently, or you can go for an alternative like reusable microfiber sponges. They can be used multiple times. A broom is also a good choice instead of a Swiffer. And a reusable mop can also find a place in your efficient supply cabinet!" (Town of Essex – Government via Facebook)
- Tri-Town Youth Services Bureau: "Hello neighbors! Faith is busy prepping for her summer programs and is putting together the list of supplies needed for the 3, week-long sessions that will be running! There is so much wonderful happening, the excitement is palpable! " (Tri-Town Youth Services Bureau via Facebook)
- Essex Fire Engine Co. #1: "Firehouse Food Drive to support The Shoreline Soup Kitchens & Pantries, Inc. Essex firefighters will be at fire headquarters on Saybrook Road, on Saturday, April 15, from 9am - 1pm to receive non-perishable food donations." (Essex Fire Engine Co. #1 via Facebook)
- Essex Library: "Meet in the Middle (grades 6-8) meets today, April 12, at 4 PM! Learn how to build a paper circuit by creating a Minecraft-inspired paper torch! A terrific way to learn about basic circuitry! Registration is required. Call 860-767-1560" (Essex Library via Facebook)
