The Trees in the Rigging Community Carol Sing & Parade will be held in downtown Essex on Sunday, November 27 at 4:30 p.m. The Connecticut River Museum, the Essex Board of Trade and Essex Historical Society combine to present this annual event that includes a traditional, lantern-lit carol stroll down Main Street where spectators are invited to bring their own lanterns or flashlights and join in. In addition to the Sailing Masters Fife & Drum Corps, vintage autos and festive carolers, returning to this year’s land parade will be “Boat Floats” or small watercraft on trailers that are decorated for the holidays and can be towed down Essex’s street. The stroll steps off at 4:30 p.m. at the Essex Town Hall on West Avenue and ends at the Connecticut River Museum with more festivities and an appearance from Santa!
