  1. The assistant coach for Valley Regional High School football, softball and track teams, Jake Bocian is now the head coach for Valley's girl's track this spring. His goal is to grow the team and get more students interested in the sport. According to Zip06.com Bocian said, "I also would love to see the girls win medals and qualify for the Shoreline Conference and state championship meets.”(Zip06.com)
  2. Do you like to write? Now there is a Writer's Group for high school-aged participants through 30-year-olds at the Nest Gatherings in downtown Deep River. The first meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 5 at 6 p.m. The group, which is run by writers for writers will meet bi-weekly. The goal of the group is to create a supportive space for writers of all abilities! A suggested donation of $5 per participant is requested however, no one will be turned away for inability to pay. Nest Gatherings is a social program sponsored by A Little Compassion Inc. and The Nest Coffee House. The gatherings are open to all, and they place a special emphasis on welcoming autistic and neurodivergent young adults. The group will explore new activities and interests together.
