CHESTER, CT — A Killingworth man is dead following a motorcycle crash in Chester early Thursday morning, according to state police.

Sean Guiheen, 27, of Killingworth, died in the accident.

Guiheen was traveling west on West Main Street on Route 148 in Chester at 1:17 a.m. While he was negotiating a curve on the road, his motorcycle traveled into the opposite lane and hit a metal beam guardrail. He was ejected from the motorcycle.

Guiheen was taken to Middlesex Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The state Department of Transportation was notified of about 40 feet of metal beam guardrail damage.
