- Do you have an interest in photography? Are you looking to learn more? The Essex Library is offering a program for Beginning photographers and anyone who wants to learn how to take better pictures with a point-and-shoot or high-end adjustable camera. The event will take place on Saturday, February 25 at 1 p.m. Join instructor Richard Spearrin, in his two-part workshop series, Basic Principles of Photography. The first workshop covers the elements that make a great photo, including exposure, lighting, focus, and composition. Return for the second workshop to level up your shots with information about capturing movement, light streaks, extreme close-ups, and more. The first workshop will be held on Saturday, February 25, 1-2:30 p.m. Use what you learn and take some great photos before returning for the second workshop on Saturday, March 11 from 1:00-2:30 p.m. Ages 16-99. - Middlesex County Chamber has announced in a press release that Hilary Mondelci, Assistant Vice President, Loan Administration Manager and Assistant Corporate Secretary, was selected as one of the 2023 New Leaders in Banking Award Recipients. To qualify, the recipients needed to be an outstanding employee, manager, or business leader and make a notable impact within their financial institutions and community. Congratulations Hilary! - Valley Regiona High School: It's that time of year again, time for the annual Valley Regional High School musical. This year's show is "Little Shop of Horrors"! It will be presented March 10 through 12 with shows at 7 p.m. Friday evening, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday and a Sunday matinee at 1 p.m. Tickets are currently on sale, for $15 each, at VRHS and Celebrations in Deep River.
