Revaluation Project Update December 7, 2020

The Town of Deep River State Mandated 2020 Revaluation is entering the ‘Informal Hearing’ phase of the project. During this phase a Notice of Valuation is mailed to each property owner. At this time, anyone with questions concerning the revaluation process or questions regarding the data collected on their property has an opportunity to schedule an Informal Hearing with a member of Vision Government Solutions (Vision) staff, the Company that conducted the Town’s Revaluation, to discuss their property value by following the directions received on their Notice of Valuation.

The informal hearings, which are being held by telephone only due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, are by appointment only. This is the time to verbally review information on your property and to present evidence, if you feel necessary, supporting your estimate of the fair market value of your property, such as comparable properties in your area or a recent appraisal. The results of your phone hearing will be mailed to you when the hearing and review process is complete.

You may also review your new assessment data on Vision Government Solutions web site: www.vgsi.com. (Go to Taxpayer Information- Connecticut- Deep River). This web site will allow inquiry access to the Assessor’s database, including value summary, building data, sales search, and general valuation information.

Should you have any questions, please call the Assessor's Office at 860-526-6029.

Thank you for your cooperation during the entire reassessment program.

Regards,
